Joe Biden has been misquoted as saying, “No ordinary American cares about constitutional rights.”
This has been fact-checked and proven to be untrue concerning what he said as VP, in 2013, at a weapon’s control forum. It was fact-checked by, amongst others, PolitiFact and listed as False.
Okay, I’m all for the truth so, what did VP Biden say at the forum that got gun advocate’s panties in a knot? Try this on for size:
“No law-abiding citizen in the United States of America has any fear that their Constitutional rights will be infringed in any way. None, zero.”
Well, that certainly changes things and casts that comment in a different light… right?
Not at all, it’s just as bad as the false comment if not worse. I, for one, am deeply concerned about the infringement of what some, incorrectly, refer to as Constitutional rights – actually, they’re God-given rights that the government is warned not to infringe upon as well as mandated to protect. Government doesn’t grant rights, government grants privileges and can take them away just as easily. Not so with God-given natural rights. Now, while “fear” might be a little strong for my concern, at this point, it’s quickly getting to that.
Look around at what’s happening under the guise of our elected officials protecting us from ourselves over a, so-called, “lethal” virus that we seem incapable of protecting ourselves from. Frankly, I don’t remember asking government to intercede on my behalf and trample all over the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, to do so. They seem hell-bent on not having one person die from COVID19 while thousands are dying from the influenza, pneumonia, heart attacks, opioid overdoses, and the list goes on.
So, Fact Check this PolitiFact and Dopey Joe Biden… I am an American, and I can assure you I represent hundreds of thousands of other Americans, if not millions, and I am very concerned about the way my Rights are being abrogated by executive decision posing as legislated law. It must stop, otherwise this will not turn out to anybody’s good.
Go ahead… Change My Mind!
