The above quote is from a commencement speech that Joe Biden delivered as VP under Barack Obama. If you’re in need of a little comedic relief to get you through your day, look up the quote and sit back to watch the circus act, masquerading as fact checkers, jumping through hoops, and on trampolines, trying to tell us that the quote is taken out of context and what Joe meant was “blah, blah, blah.”
It occurs to me that intellectually challenged individuals, like our current president, cannot fathom the fact that government is anything but good, as pure as the driven snow. Based on his total misunderstanding, or just plain ignorance, of history, Mr. Biden is clueless about how “supposedly good people,” who thought they knew best what was good for other people, eventually resorted to violence to support their tyranny. Can you say King George III and British Parliament?
Furthermore, it is a fact that our British overlords, at the time, attempted to disarm the American colonists claiming they would provide the protection needed by private citizens. After all, only the government should have guns, right? Witness the events of the Boston Massacre right after the British officials asked colonists to surrender their weapons and rely on the British troops for protection.
Did anyone think that the German people, still smarting from the treatment received after WW1, would go on to elect a popular leader who would then go on to massacre millions of unarmed citizens under the Nazi banner and start a world conflagration that killed millions more? Can you say Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot?
Oh, it can’t happen here? When I was fighting for the removal of Red-Light Traffic Cams in my town, the following was said more than once… “if you’ve done nothing wrong, you’ve nothing to fear.”
Are you paying attention to the circus stunts we have been witness to over the past few years? We’ve just gone through two years of tyranny where people were refused entrance to public venues, lost the ability to go into markets to buy food, and were fired from their jobs for refusing an experimental medical treatment. This was all carried out by our friendly elected representatives, and government bureaucrats, who insisted that they knew what was best for us better than we knew ourselves. And it continues.
Please, list for me the alphabet agencies of our government that you have confidence in: the FBI, CIA, NSA, IRS, EPA, CDC, NIH? Any suggestion that any of these agencies is trustworthy is beyond ludicrous. So, forgive me if, when Joe Biden says no one has any fear that their natural rights are being abrogated, I shout “Bull Shit!”
