Presumptive Democrat Presidential Candidate, former VP Joe Biden, referred to this important portion of the Declaration of Independence as, “you know, the thing.”
I consider it important enough to actually remember the words as they were written. The important idea being related here is that human beings are endowed by the Creator with unalienable rights, among others, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, and that one of the most important reasons to establish governments is to secure these rights, and that any power the government has is only that power that it is granted it from the consent of the governed.
This week I’ve heard of governors and other, unelected, officials, revoking liquor licenses, barber licenses, and Mercantile licenses because American business owners refused to obey, un-legislated, executive orders that have stretched beyond any reasonable length of time and have caused extreme hardship on those people, both employers and their employees.Does such activity coincide with securing the right of Americans to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness?I could go on and on, detailing the many abuses being carried out during this current CoronApocalypse in an effort to protect Americans from themselves because we are too stupid to do it ourselves but, I’ll leave it here…
